To have done…

To do lists are great things. They give us a way of creating focus for our actions so that we can make progress towards our objectives; they also give us something to do whilst avoiding doing anything that’s actually productive. As I was listening to a podcast from 43folders.com, I came across the framework of having a “To Have Done” list.

When creating a To Have Done list, you need to think about what sort of impact and importance a given item will have as time progresses. Before you put the item on your list, ask yourself “What is the purpose?” and then evaluate whether that purpose justifies it appearing on your list.
