Energy

The way that you project yourself has an impact on everything that you do, and everybody that you meet. When you project yourself as confident, determined and intelligently aware of the situation in which you find yourself, you will command respect and authority from those around you. Know the way that you want to be received by others, and tailor your approach.

The price of education

Intelligence and education grant the possessor greater power than their peers; this ought create a responsibility. This responsibility demands them to think about the matters before them and lead those who lack their capacity. It is not enough for a person who has cruised through life on their natural talents to rely upon their personal aptitudes and cruise through life; a person with great talents ought use them.

That is not so say that all should be rewarded equally either; rather that those who can contribute great things to our society should do so. While we must not structure our society so that it takes from those with ability to reward mediocrity, we should always strive to make each member of our teams and of our community strive to do their very best. It not only makes the world a better place, but is infinitely more rewarding.

Remember the criteria: Speed, Effectiveness, Sophistication and Presence.

The latter, Presence, is particularly what you will want to focus upon – it’s not just about good technique, but about being in complete control of the situation. You can demonstrate this by your body language in particular:

Once you have responded appropriately and decisively to the in-bound attack, pause for a moment to survey the damage before returning to your starting position; Your gaze should reflect this – a look that communicates that you have all the time in the world, and that you are choosing precisely what damage to inflict upon the attacker; Similarly, having a range of responses to choose from in your responses – some simple, some more complex, and using a range of different styles.

Trapped by their world…

Melbournites are trapped by their world like Brisbanites are trapped by their own. Is it the world that they live in that traps them, or their minds? What is the difference? What if you could take a small step into the apparently unknown and have everything that you could ever imagine?

Am I someone who has just seen the truth – that we live in a beautiful world, filled with opportunities, and surrounded by illusory problems and limitations?

Now is the time to shake free from these shackles and realise your true essence, and the essence of the world around you… That anything you want, you can have…
